Just a few new things that we feel need to be brought to everyone's attention. We will be having our workday to clean up the trails tentatively set for May 13th with weather permitting . If you plan on coming out to help and the weather is questionable please don't hesitate to call any of our committee members for an update. The trails are actually not too bad this year after the ice storm in December. A lot of smaller trees and brush need to be cleaned off the trails with chain saws so we are able to mow the trail system again throughout the summer. If anyone wants the firewood from the clean up you are welcome to it. We generally get started about 9:00 a.m. that Saturday.
The other items that need to be brought to everyone's attention is picking up shell casings and your garbage !!! This past Summer and Fall there seemed to be be a trend that people we not picking up after themselves when it came to shell casings, old targets, and garbage. There were even some live rounds of ammunition laying on the ground. As a reminder "PLEASE" pick up any and all items that shouldn't be there. Remember, as an organization we're very proud of what we have accomplished and ask that each of you respect the property that we are all part of as members.
If the weather permits and there is available time on May 13th. we will be setting out the 3D targets for archery and also the block targets for archery. As a reminder the 3D targets are ONLY for long bows and the block targets can be utilized for both long bows and crossbows.
As always when shooting out there "PLEASE" use safe gun handling practices for the safety of yourself and others along with the surrounding properties. We ask that when using the property that safety is a priority and that you respect the property and neighborhood by picking up and taking any empty brass and garbage with you for proper disposal. As an organization we need to have and keep the respect of our neighboring landowners.
If you're unfamiliar as to the location of the property we have added a link called "Find Us Here ", which contains a map with directions based on your location to the property. We also now listed with Apple and Google Maps so you can now access this location via your smart phone also on your devices, by simply entering in keyword “CWCC” , which will give you directions to the land based off your current location.
Stay Safe and Healthy and we will keep you updated as the year progresses.
As always we are asking you as members to consider getting involved as committee members or even helping us out with some of the projects that need that extra helping hand. Lastly, if anyone is interested in becoming involved as a committee person we welcome you to contact us.
