Thus far 2024 has been quite nice weather wise and everything seems to be a couple of weeks ahead of time. So with that being said we were able to get out the 3-D targets out and as of May 15th the 3-D archery range is up and available for your use. We also have the block target range setup and ready to use. "Please" keep in mind the the block targets can be utilized by both long bow & crossbow but with target heads ONLY. NO BROAD- HEADS !! The 3-D range can only be used by traditional archery equipment (No Crossbows) not only would it wreck the targets but your bolts also.
We were relatively lucky with all the wind this spring not to have much wind damage so maintenance on the walking trails was minimal. If you and your family enjoy going for walks through a beautiful property and seeing a abundance of wildlife this is the place to go.
Enjoy !!
As a reminder, Please put up your brass and liter as a courtesy to your fellow members, And lastly when out there please be respectful of our neighbors who have accepted us as good neighbors and we'd like to keep it that way.
If anyone knows of a disabled youth that you feel would be a deserving candidate for the 2024 disabled bear hunt, please contact anyone on the committee and we then can do follow up.
As always, we will be starting to plan for the Annual Spring Banquet in early January so if anyone is interested in being involved, please don't hesitate to step up.
This upcoming year's family picnic will be on
Saturday, March 24th, 2024 @ Oak Street Pavilion
As always when shooting out there "PLEASE" use safe gun handling practices for the safety of yourself and others along with the surrounding properties. We ask that when using the property that safety is a priority and that you respect the property and neighborhood by picking up and taking any empty brass and garbage with you for proper disposal. As an organization we need to have and keep the respect of our neighboring landowners.
If you're unfamiliar as to the location of the property we have added a link called "Find Us Here ", which contains a map with directions based on your location to the property. We also now listed with Apple and Google Maps so you can now access this location via your smart phone also on your devices, by simply entering in keyword “CWCC” , which will give you directions to the land based off your current location.
Stay Safe and Healthy and we will keep you updated as the year progresses.
As always we are asking you as members to consider getting involved as committee members or even helping us out with some of the projects that need that extra helping hand. Lastly, if anyone is interested in becoming involved as a committee person we welcome you to contact us.
